First things first, this story is a short story, a novella size, an insight on a strange medicine cat named Goosefeather and not a full length novel. It's worth the time and money I spent on it and enjoyed it, giving it full stars. I feel Goosefeather's Curse is up there with Hollyleaf's Story for me and I loved Hollyleaf's arc at the end of OOTS. I was pleasantly surprised by the story line for Goosefeather and felt the Erin's did a good job on this. I wondered about this strange medicine cat who could predict by signs from clouds and weird phenomena in the old forest rather then dreaming with Star Clan and why he seemed more in-tune with predictions then all the other medicine cats. Reading his story, I know why he was a bit off, for which the reason was a plausible one that I accept. All this explains why he was the way he was in Bluestar's Prophecy.

I feel sorry for Goosefeather and now he has a special place in my heart along with Firestar, Jayfeather, Squirrelflight and Crowfeather. Goosefeather had a very hard and lonely life from kit to elder. Now for him being part of StarClan, I hope it made up for what he was essentially cursed with.

*** On another note, a bit off topic, if the Erin's read their reviews: I like this novellas between the full series and super editions. They connect everything and give the reader a little more explanation of what cats are experiencing and feeling, often being a picture we haven't been shown, such as Hollyleaf's Story life spent in the tunnels and here with Goosefeather's Curse are backstory that is intriguing. I really, really would LOVE to read a novella about Crowfeather with his thoughts when he took Nightcloud as his mate then how he really felt about Breezepelt, Jayfeather, Lionblaze and Hollyleaf.

Warriors Goosefeather Curse Warriors Novella edition by Erin Hunter Children eBooks Reviews

It's really interesting. I wish it was longer, though, and had more details about Goosefeather and I also wish it went on to tell about more of his life. it ended only when he was young, so I really wish it was longer.
This seller is selling books of poor quality. This Warrior Cats book has a blank white back cover and the print it too tiny to read. This appears to be a knock-off. Not a quality Erin Hunter book!
This book was A COMPLETE COUNTERFEIT. It was not published by Harper as back page claims. Horrible print. Pages not centered. Literally I could have went to the 5 and dime and made a more official looking book on the photo copy machine. This was the one gift my daughter asked for and now I don't have enough time to get a official one here from Barnes and Nobles. A total waste. So angry I just chucked it in the garbage. I don't have the time to deal with sending it back. Goodbye $8.99. Very disappointing.
I thought this book was amazing. I only noticed a few flaws, and overall the book had great quality, and plot. *Spoiler* Goosefeather has a curse/gift on him that lets him see Starclan cats inside Thunderclan camp, as well as see visions of the future that where doomed to come true. The book expressed to readers why Goosefeather acted like the way he did in books he was in. He saw visions of Stormtail luring a badger to attack him, his clan starving through winter, the rogues attacking a Thunderclan patrol, and at the end when he knows Pinestar is going to become a kittypet. The only flaws where when Cloudberry has Doestars sickness, and touches Goosefeather, how come Goosefeather did not contract the sickness? Also, it kind of left you at a cliffhanger, and could at least go until he got back to camp, found Clouberry dead, and then realizing he is now Thunderclans sole medicine cat. Otherwise, great book!
This is sooooo awesome I just can't believe it. This book changed my opinion about Goosefeather. He can see the future and communicate with StarClan without the Moonstone. But being bullied as a kit doesn't sound fun. And watching your Clan almost die is just as bad. Well, I actually sided Echosnout for getting fancy ideas about being a full medicine cat while others are still Apprentices. And Cloudberry is from RiverClan seriously!!!!!
Those two Clans messed with each other from ancient times and just how could they get a medicine cat from them since the two Clans have spilled so much blood over those sunningrocks . I also didn't know that Redthistle was the ShadowClan medicine cat was Sagewhisker's mentor. Sagewhisker was a skilled medicine cat that persuaded Yellowfang to become a medicine cat.
I side with Goosefeather now
He's pretty good at communicating with StarClan
But getting all those scary prophecies aren't great to her
"ThunderClan is doomed
There will be a cat who burns like fire
Trust no one not even your clanmates to many hearts are fickle
The lake will run red of the brothers
ShadowClan will soar above you all
Leopard and tiger will feast on your bones
River's of Blood will wash everything the Clans have known"
Yeah, that's pretty scary
So then he sees disaster coming to his clan and there's nothing he can do about it, after that destruction was over he was ready to become the only medicine cat for his clan until he found Featherwhisker a warrior keen to learn the aspects of healing and then
Goosefeather lost control of his gift and went crazy (actually that part was from another book)
So, may StarClan light your path
Thank you for taking your time to read this review of this book .

I read this the moment I saw it was out. Goosefeather was one of my favorite characters from Bluestar's story and I wanted to know more about him. The novella size was fine, but kept wanting for more after the story was done. Goosefeather is an amazing character all the more so for what happens to him. He's right up there with Yellowfang and Pebble Heart for my favorite medicine cats.

The only issue I have with this story was it didn't feel long enough. I would have loved to keep reading to the very start of Bluestar's story. But the size was still not too bad and it did give us a lot of information on him. The interactions between him and his clan and all of it was amazing. It's no wonder he would appear to be talking to himself during Bluestar's Prophecy.
